2010: In Retro

12/31/2010

What a year. Really. It was amazing. Just looking back at some of what God did for us this year here at Life Center leaves me in awe.
What can I say was most amazing? Well, simply put, it was the change He brought about in the hearts of the people.
Lives were literally changed for eternity:

1) We witnessed sinners come to Christ from youth to adult.
2) We saw people being used of God in ways they never thought possible.
3) We felt the tangible reality of all of us in UNITY as never, ever before.
4) We experienced a powerful sense of FAMILY amongst us binding us together in a weave and tapestry of God's love.
5) God gave us an anthem in the form of the song "Our God"!
6) We sensed the reality of God as our FATHER!
7) We cried out and sang about how the blood of Jesus washed away our sin!
8) We fell in love with God all over again...

Were there challenges? Sure. Mysteries? Of course.
But God showed - and continues to show - Himself faithful to His children. HE'S OUR DAD!
In the coming year and beyond He will continue to love us, keep us and cherish us.
As the Apostle Paul
writes in Romans 8:28-31
28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.God’s Everlasting Love
31
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

In God's Grace,
Happy New Year Life Center!

Well said Pastor Ellery! This year 2011 will not only be a year of "God Can" but also a year of "God Will".
