Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, WA lists several ways husbands can properly and wisely honor their wives in his message, Marriage and Men.
I've embedded the the video below. Click here for the downloadable transcript, notes, audio/video and share/embed options.
I reprinted here some of the ways he says husbands can honor their wives:

Honor her maritally. Take a wife honorably. Establish right priorities, and be a one woman man—absolutely
    faithful to your wife.
Honor her physically. Be strong for your wife, not against her. Be protective of her and present with her.
Honor her emotionally. Be emotionally present and intimate. Take her on dates.
Honor her verbally. Speak honorably to her. Speak honorably of her, when she is present and absent.
Honor her financially. Provide for the financial needs of your family, organize your budget, and be generous
    towards your wife.
Honor her practically. Consider her needs and how you can serve her.
Honor her parentally. Be “Pastor Dad” by shepherding your children (praying with them, teaching them about
Jesus, reading the Bible with them, etc.).
Honor her spiritually. You initiate and lead prayer, Bible, chats, church attendance, etc. Take responsibility for
    your church.

"The Gospel never tells us something to do. The Gospel tells us about something that's been done."
- Dr. Michael Horton

1) Work Diligently
"A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich."
Proverbs 10:4

2) Tithe Consistently
"Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."
Malachi 3:10

3) Give Generously
"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed."
Proverbs 19:17

4) Save Religiously
"Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest."
Proverbs 6:6-8

5) Spend Wisely
"For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish."
Luke 14:28-30

Gotta admit, I'm like, really liking the steeple on our new building. No kidding. Never thought I'd be so "all about the steeple" yet here I am.
I've wondered why, seeing that church steeples in general really don't do anything for me. But this one does. I LOVE IT!!!!
A few reasons I think:

1) Our steeple is a symbol of 'good 'ole fashioned church'.
This is utterly cool.
In her book, "The Next Move of God" (Creation House, 1994), the late Fuschia Pickett writes:

"When God releases His dunamis power in this next move of God, rivers of living water will flow out of our innermost beings. Habakkuk's prophecy will become a reality: "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea" (Hab. 2:14). When those gates of truth are finally opened we are going to see an "old fashioned, heaven sent, sky-blue, sin-killing, gully-washing revival."

You see that? Way back in 1994, Pickett wrote about an "OLD FASHIONED, HEAVEN SENT" revival!
I believe this is what is upon the modern day church now.

What a year. Really. It was amazing. Just looking back at some of what God did for us this year here at Life Center leaves me in awe.
What can I say was most amazing? Well, simply put, it was the change He brought about in the hearts of the people.
Lives were literally changed for eternity:

1) We witnessed sinners come to Christ from youth to adult.
2) We saw people being used of God in ways they never thought possible.
3) We felt the tangible reality of all of us in UNITY as never, ever before.
4) We experienced a powerful sense of FAMILY amongst us binding us together in a weave and tapestry of God's love.
5) God gave us an anthem in the form of the song "Our God"!
6) We sensed the reality of God as our FATHER!
7) We cried out and sang about how the blood of Jesus washed away our sin!
8) We fell in love with God all over again...

Were there challenges? Sure. Mysteries? Of course.
But God showed - and continues to show - Himself faithful to His children. HE'S OUR DAD!
In the coming year and beyond He will continue to love us, keep us and cherish us.

Dec. 19th was the day we held our 7th annual Christmas Banquet/Outreach/Toy Giveaway. What a success! Attending families got a huge ole' bag o' toys for the kids, a wonderful home cooked breakfast, a fantastic musical service (which included a very special, first ever song by the Life Center Choir under the direction of Pastor Loraine!), a relevant and engaging presentation of the gospel by Pastor Ellery and a musical drama by the Life Center Players!
ALL the volunteers did a SUPERB job! Love was definitely in the air!
Thank you, Life Center for your hard work and prayers and thank you all who donated time, money and toys toward the event!
Be sure to check out the pics here.
